How is the weather in Jamaica during late September early October?

Can you answer dmbate88’s question about Caribbean?:

I am leaving for Jamaica on Friday. I have been looking at the weather channel website and everyday for the next ten days it says scattered thunderstorms/showers and 84 degrees. Are there always chances of showers in Jamaica during this time? What are the chances it is going to rain the ENTIRE time we are there??? We will be in Montego Bay, not sure if that makes a difference.

Caribbean Feedback: It’s hot and at the moment the entire Caribbean area is subect to scattered thunderstorms or showers because of a weather system. If you look on this link you’ll see what I mean — the red blob. But it’s also clear from the map that once the red blob has passed over the area (and its forecast to travel further north), the weather is going to be fine, because there are no other weather systems to worry about. Take lots of sun screen and stop fretting.

Caribbean Feedback: Usually the weather clears in the Caribbean after the first of October. I’ve been watching the weather too because my boat is in Antigua and I’m anxious to get back to her… but I’ll wait another month for the weather to clear if I have to… after all, I’ll be there about 7 months… so there is no hurry.

Caribbean Feedback: I was there 8/25-9-3. It is going to rain probably everyday but not for long maybe a few minutes. It is really hot and muggy. You will still have a wonderful time! Eat plenty of Jerk and drink gallons of rum!

Caribbean Feedback: Historically, it rains an average of 11 days in September and 14 days in October. So if you had average weather, you would probably have some days without rain. Unfortunately, the forecast does look like quite a bit of it. Good luck!

Caribbean Feedback: it’s always hot in jamaica.
the only reason why it isn’t is because we’re in hurricane season right now. so it’ll be quite rainy but i’m sure there’ll be sunny days too.

Caribbean Feedback: We’re leaving for Jamaica on Monday and I’ve been watching the weather too, but if you pay attention it looks like it only rains for at most an hour and is partly cloudy, hot and muggy the rest of the time… I hope you have fun! I’m excited! :)

Caribbean Feedback: ITS ALWAYS HOT IN JAMAICA!!!!! It is a tropical country and it doesnt normally rain all day. A normal day will be extremely hot and humid and then a rain storm will come through and you think the world is ending, then it is back to blue skies and unbelievably hot temperatures. Historically a hurricane has never hit Jamaica passed the middle of September so you should be alright in that respect. Your trip should be awesome and it will pobably rain everyday for at least a hour and then clear up.
