How do I go about finding work in Barbados?

Can you answer Sontan’s question about Caribbean?:
I am a 2nd year travel and tourism student with over 10 years clerical, administrative, customer service, call centre and data entry experience. I am also studying book-keeping and accounting for small business. Because I wish to reside in Barbados, I have chosen to study in a particular field as I understand having a diploma or degree improves your chances of securing work. Are there any websites that someone can suggest? I am also a Barbados citizen though born in the UK, accommodation is not a problem for me as my dad has a home there.

Caribbean Feedback:
you can get much information in this website, kindly stay and check anyone link in website
Caribbean Feedback: Your best chances would be to go visit your dad and then take your C.V. and go looking for jobs. Most jobs ANYWHERE are NOT ON THE INTERNET… you have to actually WALK INTO THEIR BUSINESS IN PERSON and apply… it’s the way things have been done for hundred’s of years… and it still works.
Caribbean Feedback: It should not be a problem finding work here since you are a citizen. You do not need a work permit so it is easier. Try looking in the Nation newspaper or on nationnews.com to see if there are any available. I am sure you will find one. There have been a lot of vacancies for data entry in Harbour Road recently. There is also a high demand for accountants but not necessarily for small businesses.
I do not know anything about going door to door begging for work because you might only end up with low-paying jobs. That uses to happen years ago not now.
On the other hand you could advertise yourself in terms of what you can offer or do. Just check out the Nation for an example.
