There are so many points that can be brought forward to justify the fact that there’s nothing negative about the Skin To Skin song. But most of them are so obvious. It’s like a waste of time to go into them. I guess people will always see what they want to see.
If you have children I ask you this question? Do you regret having them? If not then skin to skin was a good thing. Skin to skin will never stop. If it did the human race would probably cease to exist and that doesn’t make sense. Is it wrong to have kids today? I don’t believe I’m wasting time responding to such lack of reason.
Folks need to educate themselves and stop regurgitating everything they hear on the media. Stop being so closed minded.
Even without the first part of the song, there is nothing wrong with it. Nothing is wrong with skin to skin. It’s just that with the prevalence of HIV and other diseases one has to take the necessary steps so that one can be safe. Condoms are not always necessary. How about having children? So you think a condom will protect you from HIV when you engage in your nastiness (promiscuity), jumping on every bi#ch you see? Think again!!!
Hypothetical situation: My girlfriend is pregnant. Should I regret her pregnancy? On the contrary I am very happy about it and can’t wait to bring my offspring into the world, to love and care for him or her. Why are people so brainwashed? It’s amazing what the media can do. This is the way God intended. Skin to skin will always be. Skin to skin is in keeping with “Be fruitful and Multiply”.

well said. my point exactly! what you hear most is the ’skin to skin’. Its what people will remember. not the 3 seconds of so-called ‘positive’ advice in the beginning of the song and where the entire song doesnt mention anything along the lines of ‘positive’
when one hears the song they hardly hear anything about getting tested. what they hear most is ’skin to skin’. that is the mantra, that is what people hear, that is the refrain, that is what is repeated most. it is what people will take away. it may not affect more mature people but will certainly will influence the impressionable and fickle-minded. this song sends exactly the wrong message. we need to wake up in thw caribbean and realize that we are second in the world in AIDS – second!
