What do you love most about the beautiful island country of Jamaica?

Can you answer Serendipity’s question about Caribbean?:

Our bags are out and ready to fill with lots of cotton clothing , a bathing suit, and flipflops. Headed back for a fourth trip to my favorite place on God’s green planet. Yeah, Mon. I know why I long for Jamaica and why it has stolen my heart. Why do you love this beautiful island gem so full of music, sun, good food, sweet air, and beauty?

Caribbean Feedback: The weather. I hope you are going to the west or north part of the island. I travel to Kingston for work on a regular basis and I STRONGLY advise against it. Very dangerous, very dirty.

Caribbean Feedback: I love everything about the JA the people, the beaches the food and the fact that life can just be simple there. If you are hungry go buy a patty and cocobread or a nice roast breadfruit with ackee and saltfish for dinner…. you can sit in the evenings and watch a beautiful sunset or walk the beach. Or just walk down the road and chat with a neighbour or just listen to music being played by a “sound” up the road.I could go on forever. I love my country trust me its the best. I miss home can’t wait to go back.

Caribbean Feedback: I love the food, my favorite by the way, love the ganja, the music, the abundance of water unlike other dry islands of the Caribbean, love the artristy, the beaches…I once extended to two weeks there and camped in Negril, Bamboo Roots, pretty nice camping ground on the beach…love the Dunn’s River Falls…i regret only climbing it once and the people…Had some problems but still, it’s a very special island…Peace and happy travels…

Caribbean Feedback: I think Jamaican people are among some of tthe friendliest in the world.

And to Delta104 I say, Kingston is a great city. I travel there on a regular basis too. It is dirty, I cannot disagree with that, but as far as it being dangerous I can only say, just be careful. It’s like any other large city. I have been into supposedly dangerous parts of west Kingston like Tivoli and Arnett Gardens and have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness.

I suppose it might have something to do with attitude. . .
