What is the best Caribbean island for a romantic and relaxing getaway?

Can you answer cmoore0102’s question about Caribbean?:

I’m trying to plan a trip to the Caribbean for my husband and I in October. We’ve never really been on a real trip, so this is going to be something big and special for us. I want something really romantic and it has to be very relaxing! Any recommendations on what island to go to and what activities are a must there? Thanks so much!

Caribbean Feedback: i from the US virgin island

    my choice would be st.Thomas

also if you do go to st.Thomas stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel it’s
    4 stars

and have some of the best restaurants locate inside the hotel

It has tons of things to do they have a pool and a private beach in front of the hotel

every afternoon they have a boat ride to st.john to go scuba diving and swim with sea animals that are safe

and then if you don’t to stay at the hotel all day long take a safari (their the local taxi that bring you everywhere one the island their easy to locate cause they are bright colored pickup trucks with roofs above seating area) to explore the island go downtown, the waterfront (aka the Charlotte Amalie harbor), and the local aquarium , and banana top , and Blue bearded castle

and don’t need a passport because it is a territory of the US

Caribbean Feedback: I would say Barbados.

You should go on a moonlight cateraman cruise, visit Harrison’s cave, do a island safari and visit some of the really nice restaurants.

Caribbean Feedback: At least you have narrowed it down to the Caribbean islands for your vacation, that’s a smart choice. From personal experience, I would have to recommend considering the Grand Cayman Islands. They have some of the most beautiful beaches around and the people are very friendly. It is the perfect atmosphere to just sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

Some of the activities available are: scuba diving, snorkeling, coral reef diving, visiting the turtle farms and botanical gardens. You will not run out of things to do here.

The place I stayed at was called Harbour Heights, a little vacation resort that I always come back to. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is amazing.

    Good luck!

Caribbean Feedback: I would not agree with the other post re: visiting St. Thomas. I was there and it was over-commercialize. I would not classify it as relaxing. I have been to St. John, the BVI’s, Cancun, Costa Rica, and TCI-Turks and Caicos. Of these, TCI was the most relaxing best beaches ever. Stay on Grace Bay Beach. You can also visit remote beaches like North Pointe where there are much less visitors. Grace Bay is beautiful, calm, clear shallow water, white soft sands, clean, friendly, layed-back…delightful. Also visit Turtle Cove bay and Chalk Sound in TCI.
