Caribbean Feedback: Yes, Barbados is a good choice. It is very popular for honeymoons and it has all the attributes you mentioned. No place in Barbados is far since we are only 166 sq miles. Most of the private villas are in St James but that area tend to be more expensive.
This is a site for one in St James.
if you decide against that there is a nice intimate resort that you can go to. This has great reviews and has won awards.
Caribbean Feedback: I think that St. Barths is highly overrated. Plus, if you are an American, the cost will be insane given that euros are the primary currency…I lived in St. Maarten for about 2 years. For a honeymoon, it would be nice, or nearby Anguilla would be great too. Plus, if you really have your heart set on just seeing St. Barths, you could do a day trip from St. Maarten to St. Barths.

Caribbean Feedback: You should at least get some information about trips to Fiji before you book. The Fiji Islands will blow your mind and they are a lot cheaper when compared to other watered down cookie cutter resorts.
