Can you answer C’s question about Caribbean?:
I’m getting married in St. Lucia in February at a Sandals resort. Is there anything I need to do in my home state (Connecticut) before the wedding? Or do I just need to file the marriage license (prepared by the resort before we leave) once I get back to Connecticut?

Caribbean Feedback: Sandals has a whole booklet for this information, it is really helpful.
Caribbean Feedback: I am pretty sure when you fill out the wedding license it will notify your home state – and be valid. Ask the people at Sandals -
Caribbean Feedback: If the marriage is legal there and there are no aspects to it that would keep it from being legal in the US*, then it should be legal in your home state. But better check with a lawyer first or take the first answerer’s advice.
*E.g. if one of you has been previously married and has a divorce not recognized in the US
Caribbean Feedback: You have to get the marriage legalized at the courthouse before you leave and then you can have a wedding “for show” in the Caribbean, since they are very strict there.
Caribbean Feedback: try theknot.com !!? it has a lot of helpful information on destination weddings. they might have what you’re looking for.
good luck and congratulations =)
