Can you answer Whitney’s question about Caribbean?:
I am planning a vacation for the beginning of December somewhere in the caribbean. I would like to go somewhere with great beaches, good local food, hiking/biking, waterfalls. I don’t have to stay in an all inclusive resort, and I don’t want to spend too much money. Any suggestions from people who have been personally would be appreciated!

Caribbean Feedback: This December, My family is planning to go to the Dominican Republic to escape the cold (haha) and I think we will stay at a Punta Cana resort and then heading to Bavaro, another resort city in the Dominican Republic. Each resort has many activities to offer, including white water rafting and hiking and all that. Casa de Campo is great too, with a lot of activities and it’s especially renown for its golfing. And you can head to Santo Domingo for some history 101. I had a blast last time I went.
San Juan, Puerto Rico has an awesome nightlife. On the west coast of the island is Rincon, which is surfing central. There is also many resorts where you can go hiking, kayaking, mountain climbing and all that ruin stuff. And like any place in the Caribbean, lots of relaxing under the sun =]
The Bahamas is great too, I heard Atlantis paradise Island was great and there is also a lot to do.
Or in Kingston, Jamaica… Ocho Rios (known for parting) . Or Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Or my personal favorite, Negril. Super fun.
Caribbean Feedback: Puerto Rico (:
its amazing there !
Caribbean Feedback: the beauty of the caribbean is that there are tons of islands really close to each other that have a lot in common – good food, gorgeous beaches, tons of stuff to do – but are also different from each other culturally. that said, when you say waterfalls, that helps to narrow it down. dominica is a gorgeous island and has tons of waterfalls and rivers. we stopped there on a cruise i went on and we hiked through the forest and climbed up a water fall and went river tubing. to get around the one river itself took over an hour, and i didn’t stop laughing the entire time. it was tons and tongs of fun. puerto rico has the el yunque rainforest, so there are outdoorsy things to do there. grenada is also another very “green” island. jamaica has smaller waterfalls and is probably one of the more popular islands out of the ones i mentioned. you should consider maybe going a little further and going to costa rica, because there’s tons of waterfalls there and really cool animal life, like panthers and sloths.
Caribbean Feedback: I particularly like Aruba and St Maarten/St Martin. Both of them have great food & beaches. You won’t find waterfalls on Aruba though.
Caribbean Feedback: Puerto Rico is gorgeous. i have family there and the beaches are amazing ?
