Can you answer married girl’s question about Caribbean?:

My husband and I just got married in June. We want to go on our honeymoon in January, and want to go all-inclusive. We are pretty sure we want to go to the Caribbean. We have been looking at Sandals, Breezes, Couples, and Club Med. Our budget is about $4,000. Any suggestions?

Caribbean Feedback: It just gotta be couples, ocho rios, jamaica.
Its magnificent and they even got a private island out at sea and close to all major attractions in the town.
Call them and let them work out a package for you that best suits your budget.
    good luck.

Caribbean Feedback: You should definitely check out Strawberry Hill. It is an all inclusive resort in Jamaica with a very relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a honeymoon!
Spirit Vacations gives a really good description of the resort.

Caribbean Feedback: Sandals is sweet but in Puerto Rico there’s an amazing pricey all inclusive hotel called Paradisus is really gorgeus!!!

You should come to our island you are gonna love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can find it in their website at a search engine and also they are available at any online travel agency.

Also this hotel is from a spanish company called SOL MELIA!!!!
They have a chain of hotels around the world!!!

    Relax and enjoy!!!

Caribbean Feedback: My wife and I went to Riu Palace Mexico in Playa Car, Playa Del Carmen Mexico, for our honeymoon two years ago, we went again last Dec. Check out Funjet.com and look it up you wont regret it. Also you must go to Xel-Ha if you go, its a beautiful place to hike, swim, snorkel plus its all-inclusive as well, very cool.

Caribbean Feedback: Firstly, Congrats on your Wedding!

Between the 4 chains you listed I would definitely stay away from Breezes & Club Med, in fact no matter where it is I would never stay at a Club Med. I have had nothing but complaints and many vendors have dropped them because of the number of complaints being so high!

Between Couples, Sandals and even maybe one of the Grand Lido properties in Jamaica are good except they all have a bit of there own flair to them. There are 4 couple properties, 2 grand lidos & 7 Sandals resorts.

I would definitely recommend contacting a travel specialist who can then in turn ask you various questions to help determine where they feel is right for you. Average Honeymoon is about $4,000, sometimes higher or lower depending on what specials are running, your departure city, availability, room category, etc.

The other thing is none of these properties might be right for you. $4,000 is a lot of money and you want to be sure you are spending it on what you expect and want. Someone had mentioned the RIU Palace Mexico, which as lovely resort as it is – in fact I love the RIU chain (not as much the ones in Jamaica) – it is high tide in Playa Del Carmen in Jan. & Feb. So you might end up most of the day having hardly a beach at all. This affects mostly the RIU Palace Riviera Maya; however those two aren’t far from one another.

What are some of your interests? Have you been to the Caribbean before? What is your age group (could help determine best property for you), what is your departure city(s)? These and a few more are important to know to give a better suggestion. Because what is right for your neighbors, might not be for you. Everyone travels different with different expectations.

I’m not saying you have to contact me, but again please consider a professional. Many will charge a nominal fee and honestly I typically only charge a fee if it requires a lot of research and time on my part. Otherwise agents don’t tack on commission. You pay the same amount as direct except they make more money. If you are in the US I can find you the best rates, if you are outside the US price wise it is best to go to an agency within your country. It can also be nice to have that personal contact with an agent who can answer all your questions, concerns, make sure you have accurate & honest info, etc.

Like any industry there are good & bad agents. If you contact one and you aren’t impressed, they aren’t helping you or just don’t seem to be very knowledgeable, try another. Some just lack the experience is all and some just don’t have the client’s best interest at heart. Some agents work on commissions where they sometimes are more likely to try and push you into spending more over being honest if it is a good price or even worth the price for what you are getting for that matter. Others like me work on incentive which means only so the company knows you are working, but you are a set hourly salary.

Best of Luck to you if I don’t hear from you – I’m sure you will have an amazing, memorable Honeymoon!

Caribbean Feedback: Jamaica for sure, it’s beautiful right near the beach, and the oceans around that island just make it all that better!

Caribbean Feedback: I live in PR and I suggest to you to take the Sandals company. Fifteen year ago, I stay at the Sandals Antigua for my honeymoon this hotel is a amazing is very quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous beach. Other of the Sandals company that many of my friend stay was Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Sandals Santa Lucia, check in web at and you can see the hotels, rooms view and all the amenities they have. And when you and your husband have another time come to PR and stay at Wyndham El Conquistador Hotel, Casino, Golf and Golden Spa, if you prefer stay right now in here and they make to you a very special honeymoon package (this hotel have a private beach island called Palominito)
    Congrats

Caribbean Feedback: skip all of the resorts you just mentioned, I have been to all of them and they are nothing compared to Grand Lido, Negril Jamaica or the Maroma resort in the mayan riviera, mexico, TRUST ME!!!
ask your travel agent, these two are by far the BEST!
